The 8 Frame Film

The 8 frame film is a task we were set to put our new found knowledge of shots to the test as we were split into groups of 3 and tasked to make a 8 frame film without using editing software or the luxury of cutting film.

So in our groups of three we had to storyboard our ideas to give a small and simple story so we thought about someone getting a drink from a vending machine so we thought our starting scene can be an Extreme close up shot of someone's eye and then quickly show a medium shot of the vending machine as it looks like he is eying it down then quickly switch back to the person liking his lips in a close up then an XCU on the person arm on placing the change in the machine and acquiring a drink then we go to a trailing shot of the person in question walking out of the building with the drink and then entering the creative studios tunnel in a long shot and that's the ending of the 8 Frame Film but the filming was after lunch and after lunch and this is when Justin introduced us to the large Panasonic cameras and the tripods and how to set up each piece of equipment properly and what to do and what not to do with them.

after doing or filming all the groups regrouped in the mac room and we all watched each of our shots in order which surprisingly turned out quite well.

Pixels FPS-frames per second  25 is the standard in England. there are 2 fields per frame and a single frame is scanned twice Interlaced is when there are 2 sections in a visual image on the screen such as the picture and the sound both interlaced and passing  through progressive avoids jaggies 50 hz is a field in a frame 25fps 50hz  P.A.L                     Phase Alternating Line If you don't know how to use a bin I shall tell you. when you first start up premier pro you go to the bottom right of you're screen and there shall be a box then you must look for the little file this is what we call a bin this is where we store all shots and audio or any other effects or music you will need while editing as it saves time and also tidy's up you're work space. SUMMER PROJECT

This scene is originally from Rouge one a Star Wars story directed by Gareth Edwards he is also known from being the director of the 2014 Godzilla reboot even though he isn't my favourite director I still chose this scene due to its use of music and the different types of shots  and the lighting  used in this ending sequence.   Rouge one  isn't  my  favourite  film my favourite film is  actually  The Hobbit: the battle of the five  army's and that my favourite scene is when  Thorin  and the dwarves charge into battle to defend the dwarven homeland of Erebor and that my favourite director is  actually  Peter Jackson because of his use of location not sound stage   When I chose this  scene  I needed to think how I was  going  to  make  this play  out  the way I wanted  by   analysing  the scene to see what I could do to make this  as close...
