The Audience

The audience for a film can vary due to many factors such as disposable income, social class or maybe the simple age rating but one of the most persuading features to help the audience choose a film is by the ratings.

The audience of a film is suggested by some points such as:
age an gender
working class
education
occupation and income

The ratings they can be changed to make a film look good and most of the reviews usually come from journalists from the worlds major news networks such as the Guardian and the New York times and on many cases the journalists have been bribed or that some movie studios have been smart and cover up part of the star ratings on the promotional art.

The audience to a film can also be affected by the viewers disposable income as the higher the working class you are the more disposable income you have and this also relates to the cinema you would visit to see a film and this is decided by the price of the tickets and of course the price of the popcorn and such.

The press release pack or media packs that get released just in the content of these packs can tell you the audience and the language used in the film.

One other way they can tell the audience of media products is by the subscriptions to magazines and your occupation with subscriptions they will look at what class type of products are on offer in the magazine so for example offer expensive clothing and jewellery this tells the media producers that you have plenty of disposable income and it also tells the producers that you will pay for expensive items.

The occupation you have can show how much disposable income so if you're a in a high managerial position or a professor you have a hefty amount of disposable income compared to someone who is a low level manual worker
